Photography Abroad

During the summer of 2025, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Cortona, Italy. While I was there, I took courses in Renaissance Art History, Jewelry Making and Metalwork, and Social Documentary Photography. The pieces below are assignments from my Social Documentary Photography class. They capture my experience in Italy, the people I met, the stories I encountered, and the lessons I learned throughout my time abroad. All of the photos were taken on my Canon AE-1, and I personally developed the black-and-white film. The process pushed me creatively and gave me a whole new appreciation for what photography can capture and communicate.
